On the most basic level, what captures my attention are the things that are barely there, the traceries and stains left behind by the subject. My materials are ephemeral, and include vintage linens, paper, plant parts, flotsam, light, reflections, and shadows. I work with a multitude of media including hand stitching, painting, printmaking, and collage. I make immersive work in hopes that both the making of it and the experience of it, offer contemplative and generative space for grieving as well as for speculative futuring in the face of environmental collapse.
